The topic of the year must go to The Royal Wedding. Many aspects have been discussed, bet on and dissected. Which Palace will they live in? How many millions will their wedding cost? Will she wear Queen Liz's tiara? But the most debated issue, and arguably the most important- What will Kate wear when she walks down the aisle? One thing we know for certain, is you can expect designers to be busy in their studios Friday, coming up with copy cat (or should we say copy Kate) wedding gowns, with a MUCH more affordable price tag. Whether it is Romantic, Classic, Princess or Vintage many brides will be looking for the Kate dress to wear for their wedding day.
Here are a few of our favourites for Kate- we don't think Prince Willy would mind them either.
Junko Yoshioka's Ambrosia. Nothing says Princess more than this stunning strapless tulle ball gown. With delicate beading scattered throughout the bodice it says glam, without being too much.
Junko Yoshioka's Lily. This strapless modified A-line gown has a dramatic ruffle descending from the natural waist. This gown would compliment Kate's amazing figure perfectly, while still keeping it classy and sophisticated.
Delphine Manivet's Agapan. Backless, 30's long bishop sleeves in silk jersey- would surely make Will swoon. We could totally see Kate wearing this once the music starts and the glass of bubbly sets in.
Francesca Miranda's Julieta. This gown is so many things! Romantic, Vintage, Princess and Classic. Strapless tulle dress with the silver embroidery at waist- how very regal!
Elizabeth Fillmore's Milla. We think this is the perfect gown for Kate. Milla is crochet floral lace slip over silk charmeuse- the description of the gown alone sounds perfect for the Royal nuptials. We also think Queen Liz would adore the floral lace, long sleeve Victorian Capelet while walking down Westminster Abbey. Kate would not only look stunning in Milla, but would be comfortable, chic and has the IT-factor the world expects.
Elizabeth Dye's For Emily. While Kate and William say their goodbye's and jump into the Rolls Royce for the first time as prince and princess/ husband and wife, we think this gown would be perfect. Silk shantung and chantilly lace make this an adorable option, not to mention easy to slip off ;)
*All of these gowns will be available at MRS.
